It’s out of context, but he was basically saying they’re focusing on movies and animation as it gives Nintendo IPs better exposure and that old games can’t do that as well as new ones.

I’d recommend reading his responses, but it doesn’t seem like they care to archive games and dev docs (for free).

Very much agree, especially as he helped me identify what aspects of stories I enjoy.

His playthrough of 1 also helped motivate me to actually play through 2. I’m not quite finished yet, but it’s been a more informative experience trying to apply his knowledge into a more active experience.

That’s an interesting POV, in that what it sounds like is trying to strip identity from the game.

Like with the story book in Galaxy. It didn’t take away from the gameplay, but it was seemingly a reductive experience to Miyamoto. Yet, that feature was one of the most memorable parts of the game.

I’m personally having whiplash over this one since I usually ignore anything he says anyway. It’s kind of hard to think Miyamoto truly believes “it’s just a job, man”.

Like it feels crazy to rank Sakurai higher by a wide margin over Miyamoto WRT actually diversifying and preserving games/talent.

I really like the change in Elestri. It’s kind of boring when antagonists are just static and sit in their silos as certain archetypes. It’s good to see Helem influence Elestri, and I hope Helem is influenced in turn.

I can’t say I know where Kuramori is taking the story, but I’m hopeful seeing

I’m impressed by how blasé these two started as, but making out sloppy-style in the middle of their assassination plot turned them into an absolutely rancid duo (good).

I fully expect their escalating machinations to be their downfall, so I’m looking forward to the karmic backlash.
