By extracting the animations from the files of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, we can see how the Koopalings look when they are hiding inside their shells. While Lemmy, Morton, Wendy and Larry merely pull their head and limbs in, Ludwig, Iggy and Roy deform themselves severely.

In Super Mario 64/DS, drowning overrides other death animations. As such, if the player character dies from fall damage while about to swim, he will appear to be so bad at swimming that he drowns immediately upon touching water.

Some WarioWare series microgames appear random, but are actually synced up to the beat of the fuse on the bottom of the screen. By timing the input to the position of the fuse, the microgame can be beaten perfectly every time.

In WarioWare games, the fuse timer on the bottom of the screen moves in increments called beats.
Some microgames may appear randomized, but are actually synced up to the beats.
For example, the giant in the "Crack Down" microgame from WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$
always strikes the ground on a certain beat that depends on the microgame's level.
Level 1: Beat 5, Level 2: Beat 4, Level 3: Beat 6
As such, the microgame can always be cleared perfectly simply by timing the jump to the fuse.
