Youtube has now decided that I need to see videos of people having fantasy customer service interactions and what even is this? Do people really get money from telling themselves off in a wig as a Karen?

I get the fantasy, but this can't be healthy for anyone involved.

My job search algorithm for the product I'm specialized in is fucked rn because someone just dropped a really specific contract role and two dozen separate recruiters have all posted it.

(It requires on-site presence on the East Coast, so please don't ask why I'm not applying, lol.)

The interviewer then tried to ask behavioral-style questions (tell me about a time when...), but couldn't follow the Challenge / Action / Result answer format.

We made it to the very end in two of them where the only follow ups were to question the premise of why the thing was even a challenge.

That is the goal of the first round. The 2nd was a behavioral and technical interview that went really well, so how are we back to "basic qualifications?"

I had an interview yesterday that I'm getting angrier the more I think about it.

It was a third round interview, and the interviewer said their goal was to understand if I had the basic skills to do the job or not.

Really? That's what you think the goal is on the THIRD ROUND?

The problem with that is that everything has been escalating beyond what many people thought was possible, and it is happening faster than many people thought was possible.

I don't know if "down the road" is tomorrow, six months from now, or four years from now.
