Bye Sweet Carol is a horror game that looks like your childhood Disney nightmares finally got the budget and talent they deserved. A tiny but fearless team in Italy developed it, led by Chris Darryl, the mind behind Remothered, a psychological horror series inspired by Clock Tower. Unlike his previous work, which tried to terrify players in 3D, this game prefers 2D hand-drawn animation. Disney princesses meet existential dread—less tea parties, more “please don’t eat me, Mr. Bunny.” Wrongly Perfect Animation The first thing you notice is how wrongly perfect it looks. The animation flows like melted chocolate, and the backgrounds are cinematic. You could swear you’re watching a Golden Era Disney film… except every cute animal is probably plotting your death. On the same date that we’re getting The Game Master’s Handbook Of Collaborative Campaign Design, Media Lab Books also plans to release its cousin publication, The Game Master’s Deck of Wild Magic and Mischief. We wrote about the book before, but we’ve learned a few extra things since. Wild Magic and Mischief is written by Will Earl, founder of the popular DnD Shorts on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. It utilizes Earl’s mastery of D&D arcana to introduce 40 crazy new wild magic effects. and comes with forty tarot-styled cards to bring them to life. The cards have been illustrated by Tim Foley, the artist behind the earlier Game Master Series entry, Boons and Banes. Each wild magic effect is depicted in illustrated form on the cards as well as in an 88-page companion guide that goes into more detail. What happens when you want to make an original movie but all the studio executives let you pitch are remakes? What else but make a movie about how bad an idea remakes are. That seems to be the thought process behind Anaconda, which is not really based on the 1997 camp classic as much as it is a satire about a gang of schlubs who dream of remaking it in any way possible. Said schlubs are played by Jack Black and Paul Rodd, and thank goodness, because you couldn’t pick two people more capable of selling such an idea. The original Anaconda was about Jennifer Lopez and Ice Cube trying not to get swallowed by a ridiculously large snake. Doug and Jeff are two indie filmmakers who idolize the picture and want to reboot it, but can’t find any interested investors, nor can they obtain a loan large enough to finance it. Feeling frustrated, they decide to trek to the Amazon jungle themselves and shoot it. Their snake, which isn’t nearly as immense as the one in the original, suffers a mishap. Trading card company Topps has entered a deal with Fanatics Collectibles and Legendary Entertainment to produce a trading card set based on those two recent Dune movies released by WB. The set may be a bit late, but have no fear (because it’s the mind-killer)…it’s almost here. They’re not changing the name…it’s still called 2024 Dune Chrome despite coming out in 2025. Topps says it’s “the first trading card collection from the eight-time Academy Award–winning Dune franchise. From Denis Villeneuve and Legendary Entertainment’s blockbuster films, this premium collection showcases iconic movie moments with Chrome technology, elite autograph signers, and chase-worthy inserts.” One of the more unusual things you can get are the SPICE cards, which contain actual spice used on the film sets. The base set will be 90 cards, divided into 65 scenes from Dune: Part One and 35 character cards from Dune: Part One and Dune: Part Two. But you can get additional cards featuring things like behind-the-scenes facts and autographs from the actors. It was recently announced that the 2006 reality series Wife, Mom, Bounty Hunter would be coming to the streaming service WOW Presents Plus. Why am I bringing that up? Because the star of that show is my newest interview subject, Tyffany Million. If you’re wondering who she is, to put it mildly, she’s an incredibly diverse talent. In the 1980s, she wrestled as Tiffany Mellon on GLOW: Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling. From there, she began performing in both mainstream and adult movies before transitioning to radio, inventing a unique silent alarm along the way. She then made the transition to bounty hunter, a feat documented on the aforementioned Wife, Mom, Bounty Hunter. Now, in 2025, she’s returning to acting, wrestling, and bounty hunting, but she was able to spare some time to talk to me about her travels through multiple worlds, a journey that’s still ongoing.
