Yeah, unfortunately there were no wines in there that were made to age 50 years, some basic Bordeaux's, white Chateauneuf-de-Pape and Bardolinos. We opened one yesterday, and it was drinkable, but not great. Oxidized so tastes more like an Oloroso. Should work well in cooking or salad dressing!

It all depends of what people and business need, and where they choose to buy it from. Maybe we Europeans will get access to "full magnets" (Trump quote) instead of the US, and start building up a solid EV and microchip industry.

Am I do only one perplexed by the NYT headline "16 dead in explosion at explosives plant, the cause in unclear"? They worked at an EXPLOSIVES plant. Sad about the killed workers, but accidents do unfortunately happen.

Thin is better for temporary storage, but this box is in pristine condition after 50 years and will likely outlive me. There are uses for both kinds: short term and long term. I do get your point, but I'm a sucker for quality products.
