he was in, mid-60s, at Orange Coast College. Their Maria was ... Diane Hall, soon to be Keaton. And he still has the "cast album" they recorded!

She is brilliant in Reds. The scene at the train station, where she spots Jack - she's amazing. Likewise when she goes to get the water and gets back to the hospital room just as he's died...That should have been Keaton's second Oscar, not Hepburn's fourth.

I grew up in Santa Barbara. Agree it resembles East Beach, but EB has a lot more palm trees. Benjamin will have to let us know, but my educated guess is that it's his new hometown of Santa Monica.

One reason I like having multiple recordings of scores is that the record producers might choose to record something that isn't on the OBCR.

For instance, Norman Newell (the West End Goddard Lieberson) included Maria's charming flutey entrance music on the Sound of Music OLCR in 1961.

Serious question: What's stopping the State of Illinois from arresting Stephen Miller & charging him with incitement?

The Senate didn't confirm him. He's just a guy.

At some point, the states MUST use their authority to prosecute, because the federal government certainly will not.

The Sound of Music at 60: A missing scene! After Elsa tells the Captain Maria's leaving, he rushes up to give her her final pay. He walks in just as she's changing back to the dress the poor didn't want. Cut when test audiences thought it looked like the he was paying her for "services rendered."

The moment Vance takes over, he's stuck with three problems:

1. He's JD Vance and nobody likes him.
2. He inherits all of Trump's messes but none of the ability to bullshit his way through them.
3. "What did you know about Trump's health and when did you know it? Was there a cover-up?" and so on.
