I feel like any person who has spent any time reading about history, sociology, the rise/fall of civilizations/empires could start to see the cracks in America's facade as early as the late 80s

That's when things like financial deregulation, regulatory capture, and wealth inequality began to swell

Indiana has been fighting charter schools for a decade now, and both public schools and charter schools have become more and more segregated by both race and class.

White Republicans almost fought black legislators for bringing it up in 2021.

The thing is, the dot.com boom built all the infrastructure that the Internet was built in. We got broadband, home computers, companies brought servers, etc.

...none of that useable infrastructure has come from the AI boom

We have NOTHING to show for all of this supposed "investment"

The DNC refuses to organize any type of network of armed resistance, any type of unified presence

The DNC governors are mostly preening and positioning themselves as the next presidential candidates, not really trying to stop what's happening, even as the GOP openly manipulates that very election

None of us are islands, we all need each other.

Ableism isn't an attack on some minority of people, it's an attack on all of humanity.

COVID and taking care of my grandmother really changed my entire outlook on ableism, and the entire conversation

We are all disabled, it doesn't matter if we deal with our disability daily, weekly, or yearly....we all have moments in which we need an entire network to keep us alive and healthy

Because, despite his flaws, Obama was literally the most dovish candidate during the '08 primaries...and also the least known, and we still took him all the way.

Lil Kim was at the top of the game during a time when there was a lot of competition from other female rappers like Rah Digga, Lady of Rage, and Foxie Brown...some of whom were better lyricists, but never reached Kim's star power
