I feel like any person who has spent any time reading about history, sociology, the rise/fall of civilizations/empires could start to see the cracks in America's facade as early as the late 80s

Because, despite his flaws, Obama was literally the most dovish candidate during the '08 primaries...and also the least known, and we still took him all the way.

Lil Kim was at the top of the game during a time when there was a lot of competition from other female rappers like Rah Digga, Lady of Rage, and Foxie Brown...some of whom were better lyricists, but never reached Kim's star power

Nicki never really had any competition like that in the 2010s

The American stock market is literally being floated on the basis of Fascism being kind to American business interests, which makes sense (from an investor's perspective).
