I feel like any person who has spent any time reading about history, sociology, the rise/fall of civilizations/empires could start to see the cracks in America's facade as early as the late 80s

That's when things like financial deregulation, regulatory capture, and wealth inequality began to swell

There is no radical left to capture black young people, but the youth are still very radical (as they should be, because our society sucks and needs change).

So if there is no populist left to capture them....they just kinda drain into the populist right by default.

If you really want radical change in America, the ONLY groups of people advocating for it are conservatives.

compare black cultural leaders of the 60s (Malcolm, MLK, the Panthers, Nina Simone, Angela Davis) to black cultural leaders today (Kanye, Jay Z, 50, even Beyonce).

The same boys who would have been wearing locs and anhks a decade ago, are worshipping Charlie Kirk today.

I honestly think the lack of a radical left has primed young men to be captured by the radical right.

One of the most horrifying realizations about eugenics is that it's ALWAYS based on force and violence.

Because if you give people comfortable wages and equity and homes, they'll make kids.... they'll make a million kids.

I think the thing with the debate about ‘Pro-Natalism’ is that everyone kind of dances around saying explicitly is that revealed preferences show lots of people think having kids of sort of sucks for the parent but is clearly necessary for society.

I've been to coat drives organized by the DSA in my city that managed to give over 1200 children winter coats

And the PSL in my city has an amazing prison outreach program which has created a network to report prisoner abuse.

The left is great at organizing, just nowhere you'd look.
