Riot Women on BBC - you need to watch it. It’s so good.

I can relate on many levels.

Nice little boat trip on Loch Ness today.

Yes. I did most my research using scotlandspeople - because most of my ancestry is Scottish. But I input my tree onto Ancestry, and I did the DNA through them too. It’s quite addictive.

Updated ancestry DNA regions. I’m pretty Scottish right?

I’ve always assumed my Trapp family line that I got to a dead end with in Scotland in the 1700s might have migrated from somewhere around Germany. But the DNA does not suggest that. 🤔 Maybe it’s a Scottish name after all!

This term in RME we are looking at themes of refugees and migration. Our class elephant Blue Ellie is an expert on this. Here she is visiting a refugee settlement in Kenya.

I'm not sure #inclusion sits well with sequenced curriculums delivered in a very specific way. I think there are questions about agency, voice and interests for young people in a totally adult led approach. We need to start from where the children are at, surely? Have the freedom to be flexible. ☺️

2 minutes into Murder Before Evensong on Channel 5 and I’m already happy because there are dachshunds in it.

Thanks. I’ll have a look at these ones.

I read Nina: Jazz Legend and Civil-Rights Activist Nina Simone by Alice Brière-Haquet to my kids' 2nd grade classes. Then we sang and danced to I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free. Great questions about musical expression of emotion throughout civil rights activism and rallies.

I would say how not to be one is core to RME!

I think it should encompass all of these things.

I asked my Primary 1 class to think of a better name for RME. They came up with... 'Thinky Things'.

I can't wait to see the Higher for 'Thinky Things' on someone's CV.

Should Religious and Moral Education (RME) get a new name?
What do you think the subject's name should be to best represent what it teaches? We'd love to hear your suggestions! 👇

We’ve got a competition running in school right now for guess the amount of pieces of Lego in the jar. Some of my class’s guesses:

- 2 grillion and 1 thousand
- 200 million and 41.
- 3
Part of a jar of Lego

If I removed the Lego from the classroom, there would be protests. They just love a bit of Lego!

This is so good from 4/5 year olds.
