YES. Today's Labour would have been far harsher in some weird time loop story where they were in power early enough to intervene - they'd have viciously snuffed out their own origins, hoping that would get them taken 'seriously'.

Hopefully those tests remain negative. Wishing you well Pedro. The waiting and worrying is not an easy thing to deal with.

7 weeks since surgery for prostate cancer … just had a follow up call with the consultant & 🎉 Cancer was all contained/cut out. PSA level now considered undetectable… so cancer free. PSA tests every 6 months for 5 years then once a year for a few more years.

Feeling very lucky🍀 Now for the hills!

Men. Let's talk prostate cancer.

Reflections on my own diagnosis. I’m lucky. My cancer was caught early because I arranged a simple blood test.

When I see those arguments about ‘annoying’ or ‘disruptive’ protests I’m reminded of the actions of many brave women who fought for the right to vote (& how it might have been different under this govt)

If you agree that mandatory digital ID cards are a terrible idea, please ask your MP to sign my motion opposing them.

These plans risk turning us into checkpoint Britain. They must be scrapped.

Email your MP my motion: edm.parliament.uk/early-day-mo...

Good thing the UK NHS is offering the vaccine to <checks notes> almost nobody under 75 🙄
sailorrooscout.bsky.social
Well now, would you look at that?

A massive study of NEARLY 300,000 people in the United States found that receiving an updated 2024-2025 mRNA COVID-19 vaccine REDUCED people’s risk of severe disease AND death in ALL age groups, REGARDLESS of immunity from prior infection or vaccination.

Researchers pointed a satellite dish at the sky for 3 years and monitored what unencrypted data it picked up. The results were shocking: They obtained thousands of T-Mobile users' phone calls and texts, military and law enforcement secrets, much more: www.wired.com/story/satell... 🧵👇
Satellites Are Leaking the World’s Secrets: Calls, Texts, Military and Corporate Data

This is a great overview of the issues. The question needs to be asked why member states find having surveillance capabilities enabled through law more important than child protection. They could’ve already agreed on a less problematic law a long time ago. #chatcontrol

EU delays child protection laws over privacy concerns – DW – 10/14/2025
The EU isn't gearing up to read your texts, but debate is raging in the bloc on how to keep kids safe from online sexual predators without busting privacy protections.

For those who may not know, Nasser Qudwa is the nephew of Yasser Arafat.

Nasser al Qudwa has been tipped for a possible role in the governance of Gaza after Donald Trump led the signing of a peace agreement. But he has serious reservations about the president's plan.

I’m not sure people I trust like @chrischirp.bsky.social would consider Covid as ‘no worse than flu now’ - when did that narrative begin ?
privacymatters.bsky.social
At the pharmacy paying £90 for a Covid vaccine … discussion followed of govt changing criteria & soooo many now not eligible for it on the NHS .. staff “it’s no worse then flu now ..” + there’s allegedly a shortage of the vaccine …

The only local pharmacy to offer if it on the day of choice was Tesco’s. I booked (£90) but then had to register with and complete a pre consultation questionnaire with Pharmadoctor - so another cost, privacy.

And yet in the UK soooo many people are not eligible for a Covid jab. If they want one they need to stump up £90-£99 (as I will next week)

Thank goodness. And let’s hope key people are held accountable
