Stampede time in Calgary is full of marvels in public policy. During the 10 days of the Calgary Stampede buses & CTrains operate 24 hrs/day. In the other 355 days we're unable to run any kind of public transit between 11:45 pm - 6 am. It's an absolute miracle!

Great point! There are trees that are managed by HOAs as well. Being a map nerd, it would be awesome to have an overlay of public and private trees. The tree map is cool because it shows the value of the trees too.

I keep getting ads for Nostalgia, a "townlet" in South Calgary, and the website copy is so nauseating. It doesn't even acknowledge the land is Treaty 7 territory 🙄🙄🙄

It's part of the Ricardo Ranch lands, where nature lovers rescued native plants from the area in 2024. #savericardoranch

Today in Alberta - June 9: Alberta’s total measles count hits 809 cases. Dr. Sam Wong, president of the Alberta Medical Association’s section of pediatrics, says Alberta could end up with more cases than the entire US (which has 1,168 cases as of June 6).
