We need leaders not in love with money but in love with justice. Not in love with publicity but in love with humanity. Leaders who can subject their particular egos to the pressing urgencies of the great cause of freedom … a time like this demands great leaders.

Those on Calgary City Council focused on repealing blanket rezoning: I want my free cake from the federal government and to eat it, too.

CMHC: Nope, that ain't how it works. Let us know when you change your minds back, hopefully before March. For now, do not pass go, do not collect $129M.

I was blessed to have seen Colleen Jones play, live, at the Scotties in Red Deer, AB back in 2004. She skipped Team Canada against Quebec, and won. Wearing the black kilts. With that wad of gum in her jaw. She was spectacular.

I would absolutely believe it. If the @thetyee.ca & @kehyslop.bsky.social still had remaining bandwidth they could ask similar questions about the school resource officer (SRO) program in Calgary schools under the Calgary Police Service.

When many, many questions are asked they would find:

You wouldn’t believe the lengths @kehyslop.bsky.social had to go to to get basic info on the training for school liaison officers. This contoversial VPD program was briefly shuttered in 2021 before being reinstated in 2023. #vanpoli thetyee.ca/News/2025/11...

I will continue to ask my surgeon and the anaesthesiologist if I may pick the music in the operating room. I'm only awake for a few minutes, but auditory aware. Since I'm going to miss Lauryn Hill, I think I may ask for her music as my operating room soundtrack. 🎵🎶

Today, November 24, 2025 it snowed in Calgary. That's not unusual, Environment Canada says we had 20.8 cm of snow on November 23, 2024. Last year! Buses in Calgary went on snow routes, because we don't fund Calgary Transit for weather conditions (no snow tires so a bus can get up a hill, etc.) 1/
