I’ve seen Tron: Ares described as lazy writing for lazy audiences. I take umbrage with someone coming out of a movie thinking they were there to learn anything g of substance from a TRON movie. You either like the pretty colors and nine inch nails or you don’t.

If you start the show late, you can fast forward through the commercials as long as you do it Before the ad starts to play, otherwise you’ll be stuck watching them. As soon as the show is over and the replay is there, you can skip freely without having to time it.
