I really wonder how civics lessons in US schools are going right now. Like I assume teachers are still teaching about the constitution and separation of powers, but I assume a few smart kids are going "but... that's not really true right?". Then what, teachers going "I dunno lol"

Eventually, the US markets will become much less attractive for this reason. Corrupt markets with no securities enforcement will be abandoned eventually. Maybe after the first big AI bubble pop.

Also like 6 million in out of the money call options on AMD a couple days before the OpenAI deal is announced. Some other insider, maybe not government.. Crime is legal now. If you're on the inside, you're golden. If not, stay out of the market. That's my advice. It's cooked.

The Office of Management and Budget sent a notification to Congress about their intent to use research and development funds to pay members of the military, two sources with direct knowledge tell NBC News.

A spokesperson for the OMB confirmed to NBC News that it plans to use the research and development funds and that there are two years' worth of funds available within the Department of Defense.

I’d rather we build a sovereign cloud infrastructure so we don’t have to rely on azure/m365/aws since that is an underappreciated national security concern especially with the collapse of the US into authoritarianism and (soon) dictatorship.

lol Caesar literally did this. Finally got to Rome and most of the government had fled. So he basically forced them to open the treasury so he could pay his legions all the money he owed them.

The lesson to US businesses even if dems retake power will be: When republicans are in power, do whatever they say... Bribe them, capitulate to them, glaze them etc... But hold fast against dems, they won't do shit.
