If we’re getting caught up in semantics about OR instead of AND, then why not allow all dual lands in any deck? Those say or. Or cards with multiple pips in text boxes, in whatever deck you want /sarcasm

Color identity IS sacred to commander. There’s no reason to confuse new players with exceptions

Tweaking a new mechanic to fix existing rules is FAR different from changing a foundational rule of the game. It’s a slippery slope.

Nobody is stopping anyone from building a mono-W, Lurrus companion deck. Ask your next group if you can play it.

Changing a fundamental rule of the game for a tiny fraction of cards in a game where you can *already break rules* feels crazy to me

Are there mechanical arguments for and against? Sure.

We're in danger of fixing that which isn't broken, and in so doing adding more complexity for the less enfranchised player base.

The juice isn't worth the squeeze here. Keep it as-is.

Hybrid mana changing so you can run them in like mono color decks or whatever, ruins the spirit of the format. You can’t have mana symbols outside your commander’s color identity. Period. Why is this even a conversation? Is the card pool to build your 100 card deck not big enough for you?

Heck, $50 for the weekend is pretty cheap compared to other cons. If you’re a Cali neighbor you should come.

I’d also like to point out there should be WAY more adverts for these other, smaller weekends; I remember SCG was in Vegas once and I had no idea until a few days before.

Attendance must be way down for CFVegas because it’s been free for locals for at least a few days, if not at least a week now

Revisited this deck idea from a couple years ago and re-tooled the list. Decided to build it in paper, since I already had most of the cards just lying around. It’s at 100 but idk, the deck feels as soulless as the golems it makes. Looking to feel inspired again
