These really don't appear to be related.

Especially considering the 'return to normalcy' idea meant that the fear of disease was -less- prevalent.

If anything, I'd say the suffering that helped fascism was the increasing wealth gap. Trump campaigned on that. Not on stopping masking.

a.) A voucher system is not an original idea - and if it's a -good idea- then they -should have used it-. Because originality is not the goal here. It's helping people.

b.) Did the voucher system get enacted by the right?

I don't know if Trump really cares, either. If he could have ICE and the military without congress, of course he would.

Democrats are now demanding that, at the least, the Trump administration agree to stop freezing or rescinding more federal funds if they vote for a bill reopening the government. What reason, Democratic lawmakers ask, do they have to support a spending bill that in effect supports Trump’s lawlessness and puts no guardrails on the executive branch?

<shrug> insofar as Biden or Clinton or someone was on it and didn't want to make it public. Sure, I think that's plausible, maybe even likely at this point.

But I don't see what that has to do with it getting released now?

While I think 'bipartisan state op' is just one of a number of possible scenarios, I do agree that other administrations not following up on that investigation means it's either a little-to-nothing-burger, or something additional is going on.

I just think more likely simply protecting their own.
