Big thank you to all who came out in the rainy weather to my studio for POST.

Extra gratitude to those who acquired work for their collections.
It's the best compliment to have someone want to live with your art.

Finished up a wolf pawprint tapestry!! Still shaking the dust off my sewing skills after not using them for a while, so there’s definitely some flaws on this tapestry, but I’m still happy with how it turned out!!

"We live in a Post Truth society. We don't care. We have lost empathy. We've stopped caring for each other. That's something that goes much deeper than just climate crisis deniers"- Greta Thunberg ("THE DISASTERS OF WAR 2003", 18"x23.5", pencil on paper)

"Old tree "sculpture at the High Line Park, NY.
I loved this installation so much that I brought every friend who visited here.
More information about this art piece in Alt text.

#photography #ColorADay #RedWed #sculpture #cityscape #NewYork
High Line Plinth commission, Rosenkranz presents Old Tree, a bright red-and-pink sculpture that animates myriad historical archetypes wherein the tree of life connects heaven and earth. The tree’s sanguine color resembles the branching systems of human organs, blood vessels, and tissue, inviting viewers to consider the indivisible connection between human and plant life. Old Tree evokes metaphors for the ancient wisdom of human evolution as well as a future in which the synthetic has become nature. On the High Line—a contemporary urban park built on a relic of industry—Old Tree raises questions about what is truly “artificial” or “natural” in our world.
Made of man-made materials and standing at a height of 25 feet atop the Plinth, it provides a social space, creating shade while casting an ever-changing, luminous aura amid New York’s changing seasons.

In honour of Dr Darren Markland. This is a painting I created for him from his own photo. He took it at his cabin, which he said was his favourite place in the world. I am so saddened. This one’s for you, Dr M.
