This is Charlotte, a spider that lives in front of my house. She is very cool and also kinda scary. She’s a Hentz orb weaver, a common spider in the fall in Indiana. These guys rebuild their web every day when it gets dark, eating it before morning. I love her and I will not be taking any criticism.

Posting this guy again because I love mantids and I also just miss my son. This was Scyther, the coolest and also pickiest mantis I have ever met. I only had him for a short 9 months but it was a long and happy life for him so I’m happy for that.

Get stick bugged. This is a fellow that I found in Michigan City the other day. I had actually never seen one in person but they’re very chill. He reminded me a lot of mantids, just less spikiness. These guys don’t bite but some species can emit a chemical fluid as a defense mechanism.

I can’t get on here and talk about butterflies without also showing love to the bees. I love bees, I pet many of them yesterday. They’re so smart and organized and I think thats so cool. All worker bees are female and only females have stingers. The main purpose of the males is to mate with a queen.

I went to a sunflower festival and I took pictures of butterflies. What else did you expect? I was very excited to see all these little guys. Even though they’re all very pretty and colorful, butterfly’s wings are actually transparent. The color we see comes from tiny little scales that cover them.

Today I’m yapping about katydids because I saw two yesterday. These guys are actually pro yappers because they are known for a little chirping noise that they make. Each species has their own distinctive song. They also hear through ears that are on their front legs. Very cool little guys!
