@retroblast.bsky.social Watched The Simpsons on my flight and it warms my heart that Lenny is playing some Nintendo 64.

That's amazing! I love when they do little callbacks like that.

I may have to grab one, my childhood copy went missing a long time ago somehow.

I would literally go buy another copy of this movie on VHS TODAY if I could.

The classic Konami code for Contra.

Not because it made me invincible or anything like that,

But because of how many lives I had, it actually made me better at the game.

What's the one moment in a Retro Game that made you feel ABSOLUTELY UNSTOPPABLE?

Just a pure, unforgettable power moment.

Felt cathartic after everything Majora put you through for the whole game.

Oh, good ol' @drdoak.bsky.social making sure we're always on our toes! 😆

Oh MY GOD THIS! My neighborhood friend and I got that level down to a science to do it because we wanted invincibility so bad. I remember doing the head down with diagonal walking to go slightly faster!

Oh this is a great one, I loved that moment!

A moment of silence for The Baby Metroid. RIP.

This room made me panic so bad omg

Silent Hill games were so effectively creepy because many scares happened in an unexpected way.

SH3's storeroom, for example. No music swells, no monsters jumping out — It just goes dead silent as bizarre events keep unfolding while you're trying to wrap your brain around it all.

Pure masterclass.

I agree.

AI as a TOOL to assist you is okay with me. Need to ask it how to punctuate your sentence better? Or do a quick calculation? Whatever, cool.

Using it as a tool seems reasonable, but creating whole images or movies with it entirely without even a base you created yourself? Pass.

You have to love how X enters into this series as a Punisher-like psychopath instead of a peace-loving but conflicted Hunter forced to fight Mavericks out of necessity.

Roll: who is that bot?!

Mega Man: idk but he's on our side!

X: *blows up the city instantly*

That's some serious SH3 dedication, but I understand it very well, haha. I think 4 might be slightly scarier than 3, but it's pretty close.

I wasn't personally bothered by those instances, but I get that. I think the overall package of Silent Hill 3 as a horror game is just phenomenal and incredibly creepy.

Those ghosts still haunt my nightmares, they were relentless and sent chills up my spine.
