Apropos of nuthin. If I were the CEO of Volkswagen I’d buy the 718 tooling from Porsche (hell, it’s already sitting in a VW owned plant in Osnabrueck) and make the new Corrado from that platform.

Or, an elderly person who has worked and saved and has some means but has a disease where the drug to treat it costs $$$$$ per month out of pocket. They choose instead to go without, and leave some money to their heirs. Tru fax!

It is also the case here that someone can work and save for a lifetime and then have a medical problem while un- or underinsured that bankrupts them. More than a few people who end up homeless have such a story.

I was curious about a local biotech that announced layoffs, mostly for investment potential. To my surprise, one of their officers was a grad student in the same lab I was in as an undergrad. That dude smoked a lot of weed back then. Another student in the lab grew that weed. Smol world!
