My updated version of my Professor Owl reference guide.

I created it today, for artists, in case they do want to draw this Disney character.
Here is an art @fagstain.bsky.social did for me back in 2024.

Here, we have Professor Owl (from "Melody" and "Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom") after he had a food binge by mistake, with him now looking embarrassed and worried as a button from his shirt pops off.

You're welcome.

Glad you were able to cheer me up with this.

Love how small Professor Owl is, he's the right size to be held and embraced by Big Mama.
Also, I love the size @hinako2029.bsky.social gave to Professor Owl, it demonstrates that he is an small owl, perfect to be held by Big Mama when she needs to hug him in love.
For special context, Professor Owl is the blue owl schoolteacher from the 1953 Disney shorts "Melody" and "Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom", while Big Mama is from The Fox and the Hound (1981)

Both owls are shipped by me.
Here is a new art which @hinako2029.bsky.social made for me.

Here is an art of Big Mama the owl lovingly hugging her husband Professor Owl, especially as Professor Owl enjoys all the hugs and cuddles from his lovely wife.

“That Jumbo-Gro really does something to your body, eh?”
he came from, I just sadly feel it's all for nothing, and I could really say it's all my fault I love him, and it's all Disney's fault for why Professor Owl is in obscurity in the first place.
better takes on the Robin Hood legend than Disney's own 1973 animated film, despite Robin Hood: Men in Tights being a spoof.

I do know I love Professor Owl, but because of Disney's poor treatment of him and the two shorts ("Melody" and "Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom")...
To the point that I actually turned my back on the film, because of all of it's problems and the fact it has more merchandise than Professor Owl, and instead opted to love HTV's Robin of Sherwood and Mel Brooks' Robin Hood: Men in Tights instead, since to me, they feel like..
To add insult to injury, because of Disney largely burying Professor Owl into obscurity way too hard to the point it continues to sadden me how Robin Hood (1973), actually has more merchandise representation than Professor Owl, since Professor Owl rarely has any merchandise..
"Melody" and "Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom" into obscurity while keeping Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971) and it's depiction of the Nazis still in circulation while not adding a content warning that the film contains depiction of the Nazis shows how far Disney has fallen.
And yes, there are times where Disney does acknowledge that Professor Owl exists from time to time, such as merchandise for Disney100 and Disneyland Hotel's High Key Club, they sadly don't count, as they come off as rather hypocritical given that Disney has been burying...
likely never allow "Melody" and "Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom" to be back in circulation and rather bury them hard to the point there will never be an official 4K restoration for either short.
The possible reason why "Melody" and "Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom" remain banned from Disney+ is because of both shorts having the worst offending case of offensive racist caricatures. I could say that even especially after the George Floyd protests, Disney will...
A likely reason why Professor Owl was excluded from Once Upon a Studio, is possibly due to the fact "Melody" (1953) and "Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom" (1953) remain banned from Disney+ and will never see the light of day at all.
I have heard good things about Once Upon a Studio (2023), but the only problem with it for me, which is the reason why I have not watched it, nor will I will watch it owes to absence of Professor Owl (from "Melody" and "Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom").

Short animation i did for my bf for his bday. Gave me permission to post it so here ya go.
I could say that out of all the characters that Bill Thompson voiced for Disney, Professor Owl is my personal favourite, mainly due to his design, and the fact Thompson really gave the character such a nice and believable voice, as it's well fitting for Professor Owl.
In his original three appearances ("Melody", "Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom" and the 1959 Walt Disney Presents episode the carries the latter short's title), he was voiced by the late-great Bill Thompson, while he was voiced by Corey Burton in Disney's Sing-Along Songs...
For context, the character in the two images is Professor Owl, who is from "Melody", "Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom" and the 1959 Walt Disney Presents episode the carries the latter short's title. Along with Disney's Sing-Along Songs too, for those who are more familiar with it.
He's so wholesome for an cartoon owl, that I love him dearly
