Israel highlighting how many 100s of aid trucks they will now allow into Gaza is a tacit admission that they were using aid as a weapon of war, by the way. seems weird not to talk about this

A silly little in-fiction justification for a couple of the pages in CY_OPS 2 being illustrated by someone else hehe

I know this seems extremely petty considering the state of the world but the fortnitification is a symptom of the bigger problem and I think that the ability to partake in a social hobby like tcgs is generally a boon, so yeah I'm kind of upset about the whole thing

Until this shit gets fixed or Hasbro keels over and relinquishes Magic I'll be over here playing with my Duskmourn cards and buying stuff second-hand
rebelsandpaper.bsky.social
Hasbro is milking the MtG cow to death because it's the only thing aside from DéD that keeps them afloat. This game deserves better
rebelsandpaper.bsky.social
It's so clear that the actual design team is doing its best despite being stretched so fucking thin trying to make all of the UB slop to work instead of being allowed to fully develop rules and new interesting systems
rebelsandpaper.bsky.social
It's just depressing wanting to get into Magic as an IRL hobby in order to connect with people only for the game itself to turn into forntnite slop because, aside from some thematically apropriate UB stuff, it's become impossible to seriously recommend the game as it is now

Yeah like losing your job for pointing out your parent company is owned by Israeli AI venture capitalist Etan Ilfeld. www.boycottwatkins.com

Hell yeah! I really got into MtG proper during Duskmourn because I'm a spooky goth at heart. Aside from doing a bunch of creative stuff I also love to make custom token proxies for Magic: ko-fi.com/c/18aaea04f3

Are you trans in the Magic the Gathering space? Are you creating, supporting, even just playing and having fun!?
Sound off. Celebrate yourself here. Find each other. We're stronger together.

Are you an ally? Boost us. Show support. Help us feel safer out here.

what if I told you that taking accountability for your actions was traditionally considered a load-bearing feature of masculinity?

“I voted for none of this."

Prominent influencers, including Theo Von, Joe Rogan, and Andrew Schulz, are starting to distance themselves from the president they helped propel to the White House.

For as ramshackle as my industrial noise work is at least I can guarantee that I'll never pull this kind of bullshit lol

I've honestly gotten more out of reading Mark Fisher and Eugene Thacker than I did CCRU, but unfortunately CCRU preceded most of it
rebelsandpaper.bsky.social
And I think that's the thing, it's probably for the best to just scavenge the bits that worked and are interesting but leave the rest behind. As soon as CCRU died it split up into a bunch of different things (in true leftist fashion)
rebelsandpaper.bsky.social
I guess I meant more the cyberoptimism stuff about cyberspace but yeah you make a good point
rebelsandpaper.bsky.social
CCRU was just discordianism and chaos magic for Marxist philosophy nerds at the end of the day. Just take out all the Y2K nonsense and you're fine
rebelsandpaper.bsky.social
Strip out a lot of the fluff and lemurian demonology is just applied schizoanalysis based on a decimal cabalistic map. It's not that complicated at the end of the day
rebelsandpaper.bsky.social
I think people should remember that the main thing to take away from the CCRU is adopting lemurian demonology as an esoteric practice to wage occult time war. Stop being so boring with your political theory and add some eldritch whimsy in your life
