Yes! Even as a social worker I avoided referrals Salvation Army if possible. Often the only choice for men at the time for food, housing. Had to warn them they would have to sit through the preaching service to eat 🤨

I've watched Straw for Dogs do some good work over the past year. Can vouch for them, at least as much as one can from a distance. Houses are generally donated to the recipient but do require a $420 sponsorship each to get built and sent.

I think donating to them is best right now. I am way over here in East Coast of US and some of our AK UglyDogs may know more, but, I understand its an ongoing situation with another storm coming in? They can use the monetary donations as they need. 🫶

No... no guilt. UglyDogs are a pack. I was feeling the same. Last month car totaled, yesterday tooth crown broke (no dental insurance) 🤑😬 sometimes you're lead dog, sometimes you ride in sled and sing like Refried...encouraging the team
