It is tacky for really famous people to be in TV commercials for products. Their gambling debts/boat repairs are not my problem, those roles should belong to actors like the Time To Make The Donuts guy and the actress who said "who are you calling a cootie queen you lint licker" in that Orbit ad.

god damn this is so true how have i never thought about this before… like cinema must be everything to him. even if it’s not literal immortality it is still humanity transcending its normal limits in a way and rly i think that matters more to him even than immortality in a medical sense

every time i post anything, immediately after i hit post my brain conjures up the most bad faith possible response i could get to it. sometimes this makes me write like 5 qualifying follow-up posts but sometimes i remember i can change interaction settings then i just do that and then i’m sooo happy

pathologic 3 demo good. narrative structure and broad style seems to broadly be designed to make you feel like you're going insane. i am the target audience for this sort of design.

like i picked up this habit in grad school when i had to tear through like five books a week bc 1) being in lit school is good at killing any preciousness you might have about a book as an object 2) taking notes in the actual text helps do close reading
