this is an absolutely infuriating angle to take in this situation. why is it on the union to find creative solutions to ownership problems, exactly? why is it on the union to save owners from themselves when it comes to sacrificing games?

Only kind of related, but I went on IMDB to remember who else was in the ROBOCOP 2 cast and this dude's IMDB profile headshot is him getting devoured by a TREMORS graboid. That's cool as fuck.

Sincerely, this is a "look what they took from us" thing for me. I agree Robocop 2 stinks, give or take the robots, but buffing all the skankiness out of studio films makes them less memorable; mandating that everyone onscreen be hot means not just no new Noonans but no Duvall-style character stars.
"Robocop 2" is a bad movie on its own merits but it's a perfect example of a genre of film that only existed in the 80s and 90s which was: a bad action movie saved by the fact that both the protagonist and the antagonist are played by really weird actors.

The Dolarhyde performance is iconic and he played a lot of memorably unsettling characters, but he had the sort of character actor charisma that even in small parts made you wish a movie would follow him around for a while. I saw him carrying his groceries home a few times in the East Village, also.
Oh, man. Tom Noonan died? His performance as Francis Dolarhyde in Manhunter is one of the most terrifying, mesmerizing I've ever seen in a film.

staring at the screen, no ideas, the empty prompt window confronting you with your own mediocrity -- welcome to the work, chump, you loser.
AI filmmaking is completely unserious.

You've got people with $30k begging the internet for ideas by next week because they have nothing of their own to say, it's just slop for the sake of slop. Embarrassing state of affairs.

I guess to be fair there’s really nothing more American than a white guy immigrating, making a lot of money, never bothering to learn much about the country outside his narrow social sphere, and coming up with a racial hierarchy atop which he sits from first principles.

I understand why people are doing it but I do not care for the Richard Hanania screenshots. If I cared what the nasty son of Nicolas Cage's character from Longlegs was up to, or thought about current events, I would have written the worst screenplay of all time addressing that very question.

hello and welcome to the political genius exam. here is question one. which is a more compelling message:

- the president is sending armies to occupy cities and kidnap and kill people and your town could be next
- a meal at the cheesecake factory that previously cost $100 now costs $104.9
Romance alert: Trump's reckless tariffs have Valentine’s Day costs up across the board:

Roses 🌹16.6%
Chocolates🍫 18.7%
Ribeye 🥩 25.4%
Restaurant meals 🍽️ 4.9%

Nicholas Hoult in The Order is one of the most Early Tom Cruise Performances (Complimentary) I've seen. The movie itself is excellent but Hoult is doing all the movie star stuff a movie star could possibly do. As I am the first person to note that he's good at acting I expect to be credited as such.

It's not a new observation at this point but that wild Noem/Lewandowski story in WSJ really brings home the extent to which all the Trump 2 cabinet-level goblins see their jobs as flying private, doing short-form video, and screaming at underlings. They all hate each other and none of them can read.

It doesn't explain his relationship to the rest of the human race but a big part of RFK Jr.'s broader damage is clearly trying to find out if he can die. I guess if I had lived a life like his and was somehow still around drinking out of puddles at 72 I'd have some questions on that as well.
