So 2024 was a very hard year for me which included losing a job near my 10 anniversary but realizing it was literally killing me inside & out and being underemployed & depressed for most of it. But in spite of it all, I made art i’m proud of and leveled up as a potter & now i’m doing a lot better :)

yeah! i saw someone use that and pandan condensed milk and i luckily have filipino grocery stores. I’ve only found the ube kind though and haven’t found a pandan extract i like

but oooo yeah an ube milk bread or rolls would be real good right now

As recently as last week, I was writing about the brilliance and impact of the art of Drew Struzan. Today, we learn he's passed. I'm gutted.

His artistic genius and inspirational images will truly be appreciated forever. May we continue to treasure his work & the man who made it. Thank you, Drew.

i go hard cooking for potlucks not for like kudos or anything, but because i just want to have a giant stash of pasta salad just for me too

if u make your own jam, you may have to play around with the sugar levels in the batter cuz it calls for 1 cup of white + quarter brown. Since i used condensed milk & an already sugared halaya, i brought it down to half white and less than half brown

they’re this base recipe but also i made my own ube halaya jam with a jar of plain jam, coconut cream, evaporated milk and ube flavored condensed milk! (they have a recipe for their jam too but i just mixed up other versions) theunlikelybaker.com/ube-brownies...
