Have you ever wonder why old people are bad with computers, yet they seem to be constantly on their phones? Or maybe you've wondered why the smartphone took over the world in the first place! Well, do I have the new video for you: youtu.be/lme9X2pf990
A side effect of simplicity

As long as you send it from the same email as your account was created with, that should be all you're required to send.

Also idgaf if it was a third party that was breached, Discord GAVE that third party that power. They are responsible for vetting their third party partners, and so they are responsible for this breach.

Just a friendly reminder to send that email to opt out of arbitration. There were over 70,000 ID's breached, and attackers had access to this data for a full 52 hours. Also talk to your local lawmakers to point out these obvious risks to ID verification laws.

But hey, the SAY they don't sell your data, they just hold onto it for as long as they want, and it's only a LOT of rather sensitive data. I'm sure nothing could go wrong...

Also shout out @pixelzwithaz.bsky.social for making me look at this garbage policy

When I went to their support portal, I was forced to talk to an AI, and it just said "here's how you update your privacy policy" and I'm just stunned how useless this entire system is. The policy is missing information, they don't give you the information you need to track your purchase
rejectconvenience.com
Okay, so maybe I'll just shoot them an email to let them know this is missing? WRONG, they don't provide an email to contact about privacy. You can either:
1. Make an account and give them MORE data (the thing I was trying to validate their practices on)
2. Send them a physical letter in the mail

First is that they reference documents in the privacy policy that don't exist as far as I'm able to find. "For information on the CCPA requests we have received, please see here." and there's no link! I like to review these requests, as it gives an idea if they're actually chill about requests.

So, upon reviewing the privacy policy, they do all the things y'all know I love to hate on. No clarity as to how long they retain data, a thing that says "we don't sell your data" followed by things that I'm fairly certain qualify as selling your data in several states, and 2 very interesting things

In today's example of privacy policies that are missing important information, we have Shopify! I've had the misfortune of using their Shop service to buy things in the past, and was reminded today that instead of giving you tracking info, they make you download their app, which made me suspicious.

This is how my projector works (in blender)! (please note the perspective is insane here, the light sources are actually very close together)

I've been WAITING for this one!

I think as long as you send it from the email that you used to create the account, I don't think you need to include any personal information (at least that's how I read it in the ToS, I'd love someone else's insight)
rejectconvenience.com
That means you have until October 29th to send that email. If you don't send that email, you cannot be part of a class action lawsuit against them if your personal info was a part of this data breach.

Also you should stop paying for Nitro. It's clear they don't care about their customers.

Reminder from their ToS:

"Opt-out. You can decline this Agreement to Arbitrate–and no other provision of these terms–by emailing an opt-out notice to [email protected] within 30 days of September 29, 2025"

Interesting, I haven't come across this yet. I'll look into it, though!

There's an early screenshot when I was trying to match the lighting.

Here's proof of the dankpods set being re-created from scratch in Blender in the latest video!

If you are ever worried about making something that looks bad, do it anyways. Making stuff is the only way to get better at making stuff. I made my very first 3D-dude videos on YouTube just over a year ago, and the difference is BONKERS to look back on. New video tomorrow, see you then :)
A comparison of the visual quality of a video I uploaded back in May of 2024 and a video I uploaded in September of 2025. It's just prettier now, that's all!

I'm still very deeply involved with this topic on a daily basis and can say that any local government investing or expanding its use will be apologizing to their citizens before the contract expires.

Mark my words. My video was the tip of the iceberg. It's BAD.

Update: holy butts, batman, they actually agreed with the fair use dispute! No more claim! AMAZING!

For clarity, the video will be public for everyone on Saturday the 27th.
