It’s not perfect, but Yooka-Laylee reminded me why I fell in love with 3D platformers in the first place. My new video is a love letter to this underrated gem ahead of its remaster. I hope more folks give it a chance!

Ghost of Yotei looks absolutely stunning (to nobody’s surprise). Combat is incredibly immersive and cinematic. Story opens with a bang and has some real Kill Bill energy to it. Cannot wait to keep playing!

I somehow missed this reply, but my goodness! You’ve never played Banjo Kazooie? 😭 Thankfully there are so many ways to play it nowadays outside of the N64. I like Mario 64, but Banjo was one of the games that really solidified my love of 3D platformers. Definitely a must play, even today!

Unfortunately I won’t be taking part this time around either. There’s a few new releases like Ghost of Yotei and the Yooka-Laylee remaster that’ll be too distracting for me 😅 Next time for sure!

I’ve been having a blast replaying and capturing footage of Yooka Laylee for my upcoming retrospective video. The demo of the Remaster also gives me confidence that many of the things that bothered people will be fixed. I hope more folks will give this game a chance in a few weeks! 💚💜

Mafia: The Old Country delivered the experience I was hoping for. A shorter 8-10hr experience, great story, fantastic voice acting, and a beautiful depiction of early 1900s Sicily. Gameplay feels very PS3/360 era, but that never bothers me. I enjoyed it! #JustBeatIt @polykillpodcast.bsky.social

The best kind of PS5 games are the ones where music immediately plays when you hover over the game icon. I knew Sword of the Sea was going to be great, but hearing a small snippet of Austin Wintory’s score gets me even more excited. Cannot wait to start it tonight!
