I feel this. I was born in 89 so I got to enjoy the optimism of the 90's and how cool everything was. Then 9/11 hit and it all spiralled from there, economical, political, etc.

I don't know if that's just being a child and not being world wise. But it just felt like a better time to be alive.

I know a few Standard players who've already stopped playing because of how much this is putting pressure on them, both financially and trying to keep up with releases.

It's going to be rough and I don't envy those trying to stay up to date.

TOS is really dated in parts but holds up amazing in others. Be prepared for a lot of inconsistency at the start mind 😅

Once you've watched that I'd highly recommend following up with Strange New Worlds!

I want to say start with TNG, but the first two seasons of that is a slog. I Could recommend essential episodes from them and then you can watch all of season 3 onwards.

DS9, VOY and Lower Decks all derive from TNG so you branch into them once you're done. All of them are worth it.
