Kinda. She was named after one of the creators then girlfriend who was mixed so she has more of that mixed design but was shortly changed to look more Irish to fit the Oniel name

I think that’s the best part of the turtles they can easily be a vessel to embody any walk of life and it can immediately fit into the core personality traits.

I had that thought too. But it’s the 80s and that hair style was popular among white peoples because appropriating. BUT I did find. April Oniel was named after Eastmans girlfriend who was mixed. And shortly after she was made to look more Irish to fit the name.
