Was surprised that piece made it out especially since pretty much everyone knew the Frankfurt game wasn’t the real litmus test of if the team is ready to bounce back
Sadly I’m with you. Too many issues which seem to be getting worse.

He’s also admitted teams know how to play against LFC and they’ve not worked out how to solve it.

Other thing for me is how chaotic the tactics seem. None of it seems strategic anymore.

Feels like Rodgers last year at LFC.
Two biggest takeaways from Slot’s past match press conference for me.

• Says Liverpool spent yesterday preparing for Brentford’s long throws

• Says teams have found a strategy to play against #LFC which they’ve not been able to solve

All sounds concerning to me. Sounds like coaching issues.

Hoping the manager can turn it around but I don’t think he knows how to. Would love to be proven wrong.
Agreed. Going to be a long old season.

The #1 Question I had going into the season was whether Wirtz was good enough off the ball to be a 3rd midfielder in the PL.
14 games in and its an emphatic no. He can only be the 3rd forward with 3 actual mids behind him #lfc
Honestly I thought Slot would be more pragmatic than this

Props to Keith Andrews. Doing an amazing job after everybody took his best players.
Agreed but I think that’s probably also due to conceding so many.
It’s all so panicked.

He then had to bring on Gomez to rebalance the midfield. It’s crazy.
My concern is there’s no indication things are going to get better.

The weaknesses LFC have are more clear and apparent with each passing game. For me, that’s on the manager.
Feels like one of those seasons where you can predict which Liverpool games they’ll lose.

If the opposition is direct, physically strong or good at set pieces they will win.

Agreed. At this point I’d rather be boring than waht we are now
He looks like a keeper adapting to a new league tbh.

Probably doesn’t help that he’s not offered much protection by his defence.

I think LFC have bigger worries at the moment than him.
Honestly if we lose to Villa I’m seriously worried for top 4.

I know they beat Spurs last week but they’re not really in form or are that strong on set pieces. Should be winning that sort of game.
Real Madrid aren’t good at set pieces…are they?

Asking for a friend 😅

The depressing part is there’s been no indication that things will get better soon either.

I’m also hating the lack of structure we play with once we lose to.

Just feels panicked.
Don’t think it’ll happen soon.

Will make the same mistakes next time we play. Hooray.
Honestly at this point I’d be happy to see Liverpool become way more conversative in attacking if it means they shore up defensively and on set-pieces.

Right now #LFC are too easy to create against.

Slot needs to go back to very basics. Sort the team out defensively.
Respectfully disagree tbh. We didn’t really create many good chances after 3–1.

The football was hopeful rather than any bit strategical in my eyes.
Probably because everyone around them is underperforming defensively too.

Feel like it’s impacted their confidence and approach.

The most striking thing about Liverpool right now is how easy it is to create high quality chances against them. Especially in transition. And I’m not entirely sure how they fix it.
Losing 4 league games on a bounce is relegation form.

This is more than a blip, believe me.
