Completely agree. The narrative is always determined by Oscars/box office/recency bias. I saw that one at two in the morning on terrestrial when I was at uni, surely the optimum conditions.

That’s fair. Rupert is a Tory, though. The only non-good bear

Certain celebrity deaths are harder to process than others because the person in question was so full of life and creativity and originality that you just assume it's never going to end.

What an absolute treasure Diane Keaton was. Her wit never tired, nor did her style.

Nobody mentioning Looking For Mr Goodbar on these tributes. Never gets shown anywhere. It was a v brave and bleak film and it divided opinion but once seen never forgotten. And it was the first film to give disco nocturnal danger and edge.

"She is the dream actress that every director should have." —Gillian Armstrong

Rest in peace to the great Diane Keaton, fearless and unique, a dream actress indeed. 📷 Norman Seeff, Los Angeles, 1975
Black and white shot of Diane Keaton in a tank top with her hands behind her head. I like this photo for its simplicity; you can feel her personality.

Hahaha. Saw that fake Kubrick letter doing the rounds on here again today, where he threatens to stick the 2001 bone up someone’s arse
