In these time of boring and drab looking big budget action movies, here's a reminder that there are many mid budget action movies that are very fun and not drab.

Ah. Still, aside from it being illegal you probably don't want to be responsible for a helicopter crashing in a populated area.

Like, at commercial passenger aircraft? That seems less than ideal.

Definitely have that piss color that AI tends to use.

In this particular instance it is probably because he is a producer on Tron: Ares

How does he keep posting one strip per day while having a dayjob though? Sure, the stories are trash now but the art is still good so it has to take time.

In 2004, Parisian police were conducting a training exercise in the french catacombs and found, after moving past a desk and a tape playing audio of snarling dogs, a fully functional movie theater and bar. When they returned 3 days later, the equipment was gone, with a note: “Do not try to find us.”
Members of the force's sports squad, responsible
- among other tasks - for policing the 170 miles of tunnels, caves, galleries and catacombs that underlie large parts of Paris, stumbled on the complex while on a training exercise beneath the Palais de Chaillot, across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower.
After entering the network through a drain next to the Trocadero, the officers came across a tarpaulin marked: Building site, No access.
Behind that, a tunnel held a desk and a closed-circuit TV camera set to automatically record images of anyone passing. The mechanism also triggered a tape of dogs barking, "clearly designed to frighten people off," the spokesman said.
Further along, the tunnel opened into a vast 400 sq metre cave some 18m underground, "like an underground amphitheatre, with terraces cut into the rock and chairs". There the police found a full-sized cinema screen, projection equipment, and tapes of a wide variety of films, including 1950s film noir classics and more recent thrillers. None of the films were banned or even offensive, the spokesman said.
A smaller cave next door had been turned into an informal restaurant and bar. "There were bottles of whisky and other spirits behind a bar, tables and chairs, a pressure-cooker for making couscous," the spokesman said.
"The whole thing ran off a professionally installed electricity system and there were at least three phone lines down there."
Three days later, when the police returned accompanied by experts from the French electricity board to see where the power was coming from, the phone and electricity lines had been cut and a note was lying in the middle of the floor: "Do not," it said, "try to find us."

Yeah but I think it could make tech a bit better overall.

This is easily one of the biggest web comic disappointments. Read it a lot back in the day, fell off and when I revisited it many years later it was "What. The. Fuck???"

Star Citizen is Elite Dangerous but with more stuff and a release date of 2038.

It's pretty funny that the only reason he is in the movie is that he produced the movie. I bet someone is regretting that now.

Every tron movie is like "Amazing Special FX, great soundtrack, no one watched it because it's boring as fuck".

Here's also good in American Psycho for the same reason

If you plan to use the Nix pkg manager maybe the NixOS distro?
I'm one of the weirdos who use KDE Neon because I like a stable system with the latest KDE. It's based on Ubuntu LTS so you get stable system with easy Nvidia installation but it's LTS it doesn't have the other latest and greatest.

You can even play games from the epic store pretty easily now thanks to the Heroic launcher. Runs Death Stranding, Snowrunner etc like a champ.

Its mostly competitive PvP titles that have problems with anticheat. If you don't play those kind of games you will most likely not have a problem.

I recommend ditching Windows 11. I went back to Linux 8 months ago and I've been enjoying it. Really liking KDE. Even games are smooth on Linux now.

Let me briefly address the pile on of Jenn Budd and the misinformation being spread about them based on MY OBSERVATIONS.

1. This person did not leave up the AI video. There was one question asked 'is this local PD' which she said 'yes'. That was before people pointed out it was AI. Posting stopped

Tip: always look at the people in the background. They almost always look odd and unnatural.
Weirdly enough I noticed those before I noticed the 3rd arm.

Omarchy Linux really speed running the version numbers by going from 1.0 to 3.0.2 in less than 3 months.
I don't think you're supposed to increase the major version every month but I'm not a genius like DHH so what do I know?
romabysen.bsky.social
God damnit. Ive been wanting to get a framework laptop
Omarchy isn't even that interesting an arch spin.

What the fuck is this idiot blathering about? You have a QA team to do these tests, not forcing random person on your team to do it.
I facepalmed so hard I got a concussion.
