I got to maybe series 3 and it was total hate watching at that stage. 30 minutes of each episode seemed to be them walking down a street in slow motion.

I have totally and utterly lost the ability to spell correctly here. No matter how many times I check I always miss a mistake. I've now checked this 6 times and will probably miss a mistake. Give us an edit button ye gowls.

Corrie does it right. A mix of fun and serious like this. Other shows are just 100% misery. I watch about one episode a month just to keep up.
