The past aside, do people never consider that we are not immune from war, from attacks. There is no reason AT ALL why this could not happen to us and that we would need to flee this country. But, there is a weirdly superior, privileged view that this is, and will always be, a one way system. Nope.

Will be 47 this day next month. 3 years off 50. Oh man 😅 in my head im still in my 20s. My back and shoulders feel 76 though and my sense of humour is that of a 9 yr old.

When i was interrailling back in the day i went to see Shutter Island in the cinema in Düsseldorf. Got the times mixed up and went to the DF (Dubbed into German) version instead of the OV version. Instantly realised my mistake but stubbornly sat through it anyway.
This makes me wonder something: has anyone sat through an entire movie at the cinema, unsubtited, in a language they don’t speak? Or am I just weird?
Wildest thing happened at my screening of Branded to Kill (1967) turns out the digital file the Alamo drafthouse I went to see it didn’t come prepackaged with subtitles. So the audience spent 20 minutes trying to figure out what the characters were saying. Got a movie pass and snack coupon though.
