I haven't seen that, it's just the typical "We're so back"/"It's so over" cycle that is always on social media. And like Ross says, a lot of people feel in control if their cynicism is borne out. I have a friend who thinks midterms aren't going to happen and uses the word "hopeslop."

The couple times I did multiclass was to specifically enhance the fantasy of being a crossbowman sniper, so I was a Fighter with a couple Rogue levels. But most of the time I want to be a religious knight, so I'm a paladin, or a soldier, so a fighter, or a scholar, and so a wizard. That's it.

Yeah, exactly. The US Congress would not be the first institution to trade real political power for the ability to be some of the richest people in the country. Even if they are objectively poorer they get to lord over people who have it worse.

TBH I have never liked multiclassing. I've used it a couple times, but for the most part I prefer monoclassing. Feels unnatural, hard to explain.
