And deal with a very angry husband when I got home. He’s twice as anxious as me about the entire thing and useless at hiding it.

A Tesla executive is leading Australia’s R&D review. That’s not OK. Public roles should serve the people – not billionaires. Add your name to demand Denholm’s resignation and new integrity laws: getup.to/JvDN3S7Cqloca
Billionaire Hands off Public Policy!
Tesla's chair is in charge of our tech future - but it should be us shaping policy

Yep. I was polite but nearly in tears by the time I reached the car. I’m OK now. Nice cup of tea.

Albanese hates anyone who opposes him from the left, from progressives. Climate, human rights, Palestine etc.

Because that used to be him, young Albo.
Now he's an old, grumpy recalcitrant servant of the rich and powerful.

He hates himself, what he has become

Labor clearly harbour hatred towards the greens, and have since at least 2001 if not before. That hatred seems less than rational from where I'm sitting. While Greg may or may not be lazy here, he's not wrong. As for outcomes, housing is an issue dear to my heart - lots of words but no outcomes.

It’s totally insane. Greens’ policies are rational, people centred, it’s what Labor used to stand for. Now media and Labor calls them “far left extemists”. Absurd!

The ALP’s refusal to contemplate a coalition with the Greens consigns us over&over to long periods of very damaging Tory governments.

Which for someone who exists to fight Tories (👀 at you @Albomp.bsky.social), is confounding & contradictory and, from my pov, unforgivable. Do better, progressives🤬

The very reason I didn't vote for them.

When PW-W called him out over the Maungean Skate & his response was "Whaddya expect from the Greens?"

We expect someone who'll -
- try to prevent the next "Thylacine"
- won't add mega tonnes of CO2 to an already struggling planet
- won't LIE.

That's who.

Albo has become what he hated. He is far from progressive and he has never fought Tories

Anyway, this is just pre-emptive bitch in case the PM forces Chalmers to negotiate with the Libs over superannuation rather than just band with the Greens & pass the bill as is.

Grow up and use the Greens to pass the policies you want.

(Prob tho, when the PM prefers politics to policy)

They love to keep repeating that the Greens blocked the HAFF without bothering to investigate that the HAFF does three-fifth of bugger all. Oh great a fund! That'll fix it!

How very Peter Costello.

The Greens should have passed it because the policy doesn't do any damage. But it is no great thing

It's why all the ALP podcaster wannabe influencers are so happy with this govt. They too would rather spend time bashing the Greens than actually advocating for progressive policies. Politics for them is just supporting a footy team rather than caring about things that affects people's lives

The biggest problem with the ALP right now is it is led by someone who irrationally hates the Greens.

He doesn't really like to "fight Tories"; he loves to fight the party that reveals his actual lack of "left-wing" positions.

Someone needs to tell him to get over his uni politics crap.

You’re adding fuel to the fire while homeless people die prematurely. You’re not a Labor government’s bootlace. Gough and Curtain are turning in their graves

What about the people who have no choice but to rely on social housing? Oh yeah, like public schools - crumbs.

Haven’t read Nikki but can thoroughly recommend Andrews, it’s a very good reminder of the derangement and gross stupidity of aborts turn in the top job

Before praising Tony Abbott (and seeking his return to politics), Steve Price really needs to read:

It’s legalistic nonsense. Because it’s privatised. I found even the application process somewhat obscure. And I was a
Teacher and public service exec. I gave up. Just can’t deal with nonsense this year.

Very true. I got my new (per Nov 1 changes) My Aged Care agreement this week. 62 pages to read! 🙄

Many aged people would not cope with that.
