Still think that if Albanese really wanted to reduce harm to under 16 yr olds, restricting exposure to sports gambling was a lower hanging fruit than social media, and much more simpler to enforce. But here we are. Trad media wanted to hit back against tech, instead of their own revenue source

Right? Not only did we not vote for it, six months after the announcement, we voted out the govt that signed it. (I know there were other things that contributed to the change of govt, but that had to be one of them.)

My great great grandparents were part of settling a town where Indigenous people were forced off their land. The town is 150 years old, the fish traps in the river 1,000s of years older.

If they want everyone on the system to get jobs, they should tell the RBA to stop pursuing NAIRU and fund new jobs for able bodied people to fill.
If not, they should stop stigmatising and punishing unemployed and underemployed people for alleged "personal failings". They even punish pensioners.

At the "natural level of unemployment", the RBA thinks unemployed people are where they should be - "taking one for the team" to control inflation. The rate shouldn't go down. Punishing people on the system is both hypocritical and pointless.
