Saying this mostly in case it helps someone who sees themself in it: it is both sad and also kind of freeing to accept in my early 40s that I spent the majority of my adult life being very afraid to truly *want* people romantically/sexually and settled for people I didn't like too much to feel safe.

So yesterday was all about art exhibitions and Nick Cave last night and l laughably said to my wife I’ll get up and go for an early swim - perhaps it won’t surprise you that I’m still in bed and will contemplate my next move in a couple of hours at midday…😱
