Yeeeep. Back when I was young and quite pretty, I’d always get people “claiming” me for their heritage. “You must be Greek.” “I can tell you’re German.” Fool, what about brown eyes, thick black brows, and a wee mustache reads “German” to you?? 😄

Being a Godless Commie™️, I refuse to say “Under God” during the Pledge of Allegiance (still performed daily in grade schools). Sometimes kids give me HUGE side-eye (especially since I recite it in a different cadence). Every DAY, I wish a muthafucka would, so I can lecture them about McCarthyism.

This has long nagged at me, because the timing was absolutely incorrect. He birded about his dismissal in *May 2022,* when supporting Palestine was hardly the hot-button topic it became in *October 2023.*
