The American voter could not care one bit.

Especially when the economy is bad.

Glad the hostages have been released. I’ve been watching the Middle East for over 40 years and if you think there will be peace - well isn’t that nice.

Netanyahu needs war.

Breaking news: Hamas freed the 20 remaining Israeli hostages in Gaza as US President Donald Trump prepared to address the Knesset after achieving a milestone in his push to end the two-year war in the enclave.

An example of why the SCT needs reform. They can’t handle the workload so they use this “shadow” or “emergency” docket. Give them more justices to handle the work.

And why is she on TV giving interviews?

No, just no. They should not be publicly commenting on their work.

Amy Coney Barrett defends heavy use of the shadow docket: "If we wrote a long opinion, it might give the impression that we have finally resolved the issue, and in none of these cases have we finally resolved the issue."

😡 disgusting.

Glad they apparently apprehended the person responsible.

I mean i know I’m 55 and cynical but if I didn’t know better I would think there’s something else behind it.

“Protesting” the former Vice President on her book tour as a private citizen is about as comfortable & cushy as it gets. I mean you have to admire their “bravery.”

I bet they didn’t even risk spilling their Starbucks.

The reason why people remember and revere the march across the Edmund Pettus bridge is precisely that fact, the activists knew they were walking into a violent firestorm and did it anyway bc it was everything for the movement.

Courage.

I’m seeing a lot of confusion as to who was president on 1/6/21. It’s very complicated,

You can position your abacus 10 degrees north by northwest when Saturn is aligned with Capricorn….

Or you can just read the 20th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

The dystopian hellscape that is Portland.

Kenny got married.
oregonian.com
Outside of Portland's ICE facility last night, Kenny from South Park got married to a unicorn.

The betrothed Portland couple said they decided to get hitched on site to bring some joy and fun to a dark time.

"People can be fun loving people and still protest."

There’s a way around this problem.

Dismiss the indictment.

They know how to do it, they did it to Eric Adams.

A Justice Department memo found that a key witness in the Trump-ordered prosecution of former FBI Director James Comey will actually undermine the entire case.

The Pope gets it.

Pope Leo quotes Hannah Arendt:

“The ideal subject of totalitarian rule is not the convinced Nazi or the convinced Communist, but people for whom the distinction between fact and fiction and the distinction between true and false no longer exist."

A rare admission from the administration that policy choices have knock-off effects.

In this case: immigration crackdowns raise your grocery bill.

America first apparently means sending $20B to Argentina and permitting Qatar, Hamas’ benefactor, to build a base on U.S. soil.

Great job America.

But apparently there’s some crazy woman running around signing indictments when she’s not the lawfully appointed U.S. Attorney for the ED of VA.

Hmmm….. I wonder if he’s laying the groundwork for Republicans killing the filibuster and passing their budget?

Remember neither side wants to own that.
atrupar.com
Thune: "If the Democrats had won the majority, they probably would've tried to nuke the filibuster. And then you'd have four new senators from Puerto Rico and DC, you'd have a packed Supreme Court, you'd have abortion on demand ... "
russellhuegel.bsky.social
You see eventually Trump will make a mockery of every reason or thing you ever said to support him or to justify your vote for him.

Why? Because he’s not well and it’s always about him & only him. And if he wakes up one day & decides that Qatar is going to have a base in Idaho - deal with it.
thetnholler.bsky.social
Nothing says “America First” like letting another country put an Air Force base in Idaho
