she/her. I'm into sewing, fashion, costuming, museum design & curation, history, sci-fi/fantasy, film, archaeology, anthropology, linguistics, space, dinosaurs, and travel. I don't auto-followback. Always punch Nazis, healthcare is a right, eat the rich.

I'm really just here to follow people now twitter is a hellscape, but I am a real person not a bot. I'm into sewing, fashion, costuming, history, archaeology, linguistics, space, dinosaurs, and travel. Always punch Nazis, healthcare is a right and that includes abortions, and honestly, eat the rich.
Oh, I get that too, but all the commentary I've seen on it for the last couple of hours is of the 'why is no news source talking about this?' kind.
Based on the few Tories who have bothered to door-knock in my solidly Labour area, this definitely checks out.
Would recommend seeing if any fancy manufacturer/shops near you do tastings, so you don't have to buy expensive bars in hopes.
Sorry, I was getting it from a super fancy chocolatier in London who recently shut his shop, and I haven't found a new place yet or I'd have suggestions! It did indeed cost a lot of money though.
I can't take either beer or coffee either, ick. I have discovered at tastings that really expensive dark chocolate can be not bitter, but only, like, the handmade artisinal stuff, something about the large scale manufacturing process messes with the flavors, apparently.
Astonishing that it's not getting US coverage. I just assumed it hadn't hit the UK, which isn't surprising.
I'm really sorry for your loss.
Farfalle, I have only once or twice had it when both the ends and the little knot in the center were properly cooked, usually either the center's raw or the ends are soggy. Ick.
a second day of the same discourse? no. no thank you.

instead I need you to name your least favorite pasta shape
Sunshine! Always a favorite, although I read the Damar books so many times they fell apart in college. I so badly wish she were a person who wants to write sequels.
I don't even LIVE in NYC (or the US), and I am aware of at least... three?... more expensive restaurants there, just from occasionally seeing reposted Overheard in NY content.
Fourth. We've always sucked, and we've been getting worse for a while.
My So-Called Life. He was so beautiful in that, as the hot, mysterious-but-troubled cool rebel guy (who is also probably a dick) that cute nerdy Claire Danes has a massive crush on, which propels her to try to break out of her high school silo. Took me YEARS to see past the haze of that.
They really seem to have it in for you!
That suuuuucks. 18 years registered as a voter abroad and NY still tries to summon me on the regular, but at least my folks still live there and can tell me so I can remind them I'm not eligible in advance.
Actually intended only to be used on a population, too, as a very rough way to quantify state of health for comparisons, not on individuals. Just deeply unserious that it has ever been accepted by the medical establishment, let alone that it's still being used.
Oh, it is DEEPLY unuseful for any of the purposes that we use it for these days, and the fact that it's still in use is maddening. Like, even back then it WASN'T APPLICABLE TO WOMEN, why are we pretending it is now when we really know better?
I clung to my mini until it died, and have been using foldables since then (variously the flip and the razr), at least I can do some things on them when closed and they fit in most pockets, but they're still too big when opened. I just want a phone I can use one-handed!
I've had the same from some random cheap brands I got a Macy's: one is Style and Co, they're shallow but literally go all the way sideways to the zipper on both sides, and the other is And Now This, they have pockets big enough to fit a trade paperback in both front and back.
Deeply correct take, can't agree hard enough.
I have had such a hard time with people in the tiling section of shops, they never seem to know what tile works for which purposes and most of it is displayed in the wrong section. 'This tile can't be walked on, so we've shown it on a floor; that one is too slippery to walk on, so it's in a shower.'
I just got a set that had been returned without the box so were well discounted, they do a sale on their returns occasionally so you might find a deal. Have only just unpacked them so can't say how I like them yet, but rahaeli has mentioned them several times on here so I decided it was worth a try!
If it helps, Lord of the Flies is actually only about what British public-school-boys do to each other. The one time we know of where there was a group of schoolboys shipwrecked on a deserted island, they took great care of each other. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tongan_...
