Spent some time building the ultimate college football starter pack (in spreadsheet to avoid 150 limit).

Everyone is organized by conference and school.

Now I need your help sharing this and filling in the blanks. Let me know who I need to add!

They’ve gotta stop referring to the Auburn controversial fumble as a 10-point swing. It had nothing to do with the Georgia FG that followed.

UGA reached FG range after taking over on the 1-yard line. Why should we assume they wouldn’t have done the same after a kickoff?

I’m always rooting for upsets, but I think I have to make an exception and root for Georgia to win this 13-10 just to see Hugh Freeze’s explosion after the game.

Been awhile since anyone ran all over the Michigan defense like this. And USC is doing it with its third and fourth string RBs.
ryanmccrystal.bsky.social
I will be very surprised if Bryce Underwood is not a top-10 pick in 3 years.

Impressed with USC’s defense. They looked improved early this year but the competition wasn’t great. Then the Illinois game was concerning, but they played without Kamari Ramsey.

So much better tonight. Maybe Ramsey is just that valuable.

Ok confirmed targeting. I’m not crazy. But this is really weird. How much did they wager on Auburn??
ryanmccrystal.bsky.social
Am I going crazy?? McDonough and McElroy seem to be watching a different game than me.

McElroy just said he thought the Auburn player hit Stockton in the midsection when he very clearly hits him right in the head.

This is really bizarre.

He’s irate that Auburn wasn’t awarded a touchdown. It was ruled a fumble on the field and, at best, there’s inconclusive evidence. Personally, I think you can see the defenders hand hit the ball before the goal line. But regardless, he needs to shut up and move on.

Sean McDonough is unbearable. Just call the game. You’re the play by play guy, not an analyst. He editorializes more than any announcer in sports.
ryanmccrystal.bsky.social
Absolute chaos at Auburn. Both teams think they’ve scored a touchdown. Never seen anything like this.
ryanmccrystal.bsky.social
My opinion of Georgia’s defense continues to fall. How are you letting Jackson Arnold move the ball on you like this?
ryanmccrystal.bsky.social
Indiana just has to play the bottom of the Big Ten standings to go undefeated (plus UCLA, which somehow isn't at the bottom right now)
ryanmccrystal.bsky.social
🤷‍♂️

Oklahoma fans wondering if John Mateer will join Ben Arbuckle... not sure you want that.

He's an agent of chaos. Some of that is good. But even against a pathetic schedule, he was horrendous versus pressure. 3rd worst sack rate vs pressure in FBS.

You want to subject him to SEC defenses now?
ryanmccrystal.bsky.social
Last week it looked like James Franklin was done at Penn State but... does this performance against Northwestern now mean he's staying??

Because who's jumping at the chance to pay him right now?

If they can't afford to fire him, they might be stuck with him.

In 5 games, John Mateer has matched Mayfield's INT total from his Heisman season.
ryanmccrystal.bsky.social
The Baker Mayfield comparisons have got to stop with John Mateer.

Mayfield was aggressive, not reckless.
ryanmccrystal.bsky.social
Nothing crazy yet but Ole Miss almost lost and now Notre Dame is on a fight with NC State… the two teams I thought had nothing to worry about. So we’re definitely headed toward some upsets today
ryanmccrystal.bsky.social
This has the potential to be a WILD weekend of college football.

I think all but two ranked teams (Ole Miss vs Wazzu and Notre Dame vs NC State) play an opponent which could realistically beat them.

7 ranked teams play an unranked opponent with a single-digit point spread.
ryanmccrystal.bsky.social
Pitt's win over FSU is their first road victory against a ranked opponent since Kenny Pickett led them to a win at No. 23 UVA in 2018.

Incredibly, it's also their third straight win at FSU but the first time they've defeated a ranked FSU team (home or away) since 1981
ryanmccrystal.bsky.social
FSU has a ridiculously easy schedule the rest of the way so Norvell should get enough wins to justify keeping him if they want.

But I dunno how you could have confidence in him. The team quit on him last year. And it looks like they're packing it in again this year. That was ugly at the end.
ryanmccrystal.bsky.social
Joel Klatt talking about Illinois potentially still in the playoff conversation if they run the table.

I would be absolutely stunned. They've been outscored by 70 points against Ohio State and Indiana. They would almost certainly be passed over by a 9-3 team from the SEC with some good wins.
ryanmccrystal.bsky.social
you're right. definitely saw it recently but I can't remember who
ryanmccrystal.bsky.social
Illinois finally scores. On their 7th goal-to-go play of the game.

Ohio State had opened the Big Ten schedule with 10 straight quarters not allowing a TD.
ryanmccrystal.bsky.social
I'm pretty sure Ohio State made a deal with the devil making it literally impossible for the ball to cross the goal line while in the hands of a Big Ten opponent.

How on earth did Luke Altmyer not score on that?!!
ryanmccrystal.bsky.social
Here are my big game best bets of the day.

Rolling with three underdogs today (I'm 6-2 ATS betting on dogs so far, and all six winners also won outright)
