Not an elegant solution but definitely an improvement over my last schedule.

Was never really explored much after that sadly. It was a neat concept that even if you get Isekai'd to a version of a world you think you know, it could be some other realities version of that world with subtle differences you might not be aware of.

This was also something Rising of the Shield Hero touched on briefly in the first season, where all four of the heroes came from different versions of Earth and so each played a slightly different version of the game the world of Shield Hero is based on with differing mechanics in their version.

I do like the idea of an author's creation forming its own identity without their input or changing course because of the intervention of the Isekai protag. I see that used in a lot of Manhwa tbf, where things don't quite line up with the main characters expectation of the original work.

Would also point that given that most people stick to the Underground type of Dark Elves I doubt melanin is the source of their complexion. The Falmer from Skyrim are probably a more accurate depiction of what living underground for generations would do to a race of elves.

If the setting is generic as Konasuba, you should probably expect them to adhere to D&D logic as well. It's only when the Isekai deals specifically where the point is subverting the usual fantasy tropes that you see these things delved into.

So Dark Elves are their own distinct sub-race. Though whether or not they are "evil" like D&D is often up in the air.

I would personally love to see an Isekai where the protag gets sent to a world based on a book or game he never played because he wasn't interested so he knows absolutely jackshit.

Not really. Usually, the world they go to that operates on the same logic as a novel or game they've played in the past. Very rarely nowadays do they go to an unfamiliar world that they have to learn about the nuances of. Most settings with Dark and Wood/High Elves stick very closely to D&D logic.
