We are all drops in the bucket until we move together in collective action.

Way to pre-comply with fascism, by firing the political journalists. So much for free speech.

Adios!
This. Oh, and I also unfollowed them. (I know, I know. Drop in the bucket.)

I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

Russ Vought set out to ensure a second Trump term would not be hampered by checks and balances: “I don’t want President Trump having to lose a moment of time having fights in the Oval Office about whether something is legal or doable or moral.”

Oil. See also: Venezuela.
Nigeria has lots of oil. So does Venezuela.
I think you’ve got it backwards. “Spring ahead, fall back” means that if I’m driving home on dst one day at 6pm and it’s starting to get dark, tomorrow, it’ll be much darker at 6pm, because that’s now the old 7pm.

Benefits occur in the morning, to keep kids from walking to school in the dark.
In the immortal words of Berninger, “It takes a day to remember a day.”

He was in Japan a day ago.
Relax! Remember, we’re talking about “last person to talk to me” guy, and he was just in Japan.

I hear he’s going to DRC next.

Derrrrrrp, let’s do that again!
Maybe he applied for asylum in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, but they wouldn't take him, so he's shopping around?
So did you! It's covfefe.
We should be so lucky.
Also, "Why isn't the House in session?"
Straight outta Orwell
So, let me get this straight, Cuomo … Mamdani came here but doesn't understand why people come here. Got it.

It’s past time to ask (as Will does) if the shut down isn’t indicative of something more sinister.

By not being in session Johnson can effectively say that the POTUS has to do things via executive order because the house isn’t in session.

It’s a kind of quiet power grab abetted by the House.
The Founders knew Congress - especially the House - was the backbone of U.S. democracy. It should be a huge story that Mike Johnson, serving Trump, has all but shut it down
