Tomorrow, a certain online mega-retailer launches a book sale, just days before Indie Bookstore Day on 4/26. This is no coincidence; Bookstore Day is one of the largest revenue drivers for indies.

State Budget Cuts Could Slash Puget Sound’s Passenger Ferry Service

The Washington House and Senate aren't in alignment on whether funding for extra passenger ferry trips should continue. Dozens of weekly trips across the King County Water Taxi and Kitsap Fast Ferry would be slashed if the state Senate's version of the transportation budget prevails. My sister Olivia was able to live for 19 years because of Medicaid. I am voting NO on the Republican Budget Resolution for people like my sister and the 1 in 5 people in the US, and 125,918 people in our community, who rely on Medicaid.
