There is a belief that "nirvana" originally was used to mean "cool down" ... in a Goldie Lox & 3 bears kinda way.

A similar Thai term is "jai yen" - cool heart.

A cool heart ebbs and flows ... swirls in eddies, rages over rocks or runs deep, yes?

I recently discovered cacao and my coffee may never be the way it was .... but then, what is?

Good night.

I just saw the term "shitpost(er)"

Just imagine that the rule of law wasn't on life support in hospice and that the Constitution wan't turned into confetti for the amusement of those that never paid it no mind, anyhow.

What’s happening right now should terrify every American. We’re sliding toward empty shelves, broken systems, and a government run by chaos. This week on @meidastouch.com, I break down how close we really are and what we can do to stop it.

I messed around with a blog, for a while. I had a tag line: Quality results from the quest for excellence.

"Quality" in "The Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" sort of way ....

hahahahha just so there's no misunderstanding - watching gymnastics!

The closest I ever got to practicing gymnastics was in a previous marriage.

Big Holiday in Thailand, today.

My wife was up all night cooking and is off to feed many monks and the crowd they draw on the auspicious day.

I was never bitten by that "sporty" bug .... although, over the years, I did develop a fondness of gymnastics.

I think the idea of self development and personal excellence was more appealing that team sports.

Basically ... I'm not much of a social person; more primitive and primal.

My impression from Pasteur's version is that, both regard preparation a key part of noticing the "lucky" opportunity.

Indicating, to me, that many less prepared could miss the fleeting "chance".

It seems to me that stuff floats around in the ether and often inspires more than one person.

Nah ... not contesting. I did say there was some debate about the source.

I had once heard that it was Pasteur's assistant that "inspire" his version. Seems they preferred "chance" to "luck".

The essence of being prepared is what I like about both versions .... I prefer paraphrase to plagiarized.

On December 7, 1854, as dean of the brand new Faculty of Sciences at Lille, Louis Pasteur gave the opening speech in which he said, “in the fields of observation, chance only favours the mind which is prepared…”

“I never understood the idea that you’re supposed to mellow as you get older. Slowing down isn’t something I relate to at all. — I’ve done all kinds of things I said I wouldn’t do and, of course, now I’m glad. Thrilled.”

Some debate about the source, but I have long been fond of, "Luck favors the prepared."
