Why is it so much easier to focus on curriculum work when I’m not at home?? We’ve had football on all day (on multiple screens!) but I just finished Part One of a big two-part project and it was EASY. Easier than focusing at my office, too. Is there science behind this??

After visiting the new storefront for the Lubbock Artisan Collective and seeing @jaimenotjaymee.bsky.social’s cutting boards for sale there (!!!), I’m more convinced that I need to connect to the artists in Bryan/College Station. Artists are the coolest, most welcoming people.

This coffee shop looks like it owns many leather-bound books and smells of rich mahogany but the music they’re playing is making me want to white-girl dance in my comfy tufted chair and I don’t know what to doooooooo
