This government has what I would describe as a god-mode majority in parliament. They could be nationalising the water companies. They could have brought in a robin hood tax. 1/5 people in this country are living in deprivation. And we get this cavalcade of soundbytes.

I, too, am watching an amusing situation playing out from the top of the field as the massive new build at the bottom of the meadow, still unfinished, is rushing to install flood defences in real time
Around here 'water meadow' is a function, not picturesque description. The closest river's current level is 1.38 metres. 1.40m is the upper limit of 'normal' and it's still raining on sodden ground. So that land will soon be awash. Such familial historical knowledge is why we live halfway up a hill.

Woken up still mad about this. This stupid campaign was set up in 2015, the exact first year possible for one of these women to try to retire age 55, and, having not once looked up from her own toes in that time, suddenly lose her mind at a ten year rather than a five year reduction.
I’ve joined over 100 MPs calling on the Government to finally do the right thing for WASPI women. Women born in the 1950s were harmed by pension changes made without proper notice. Despite the Ombudsman’s findings, ministers are still delaying fair compensation.
I will keep pushing for justice.

This is extremely stupid, I worked in pensions admin and you get multiple _extremely clear_ letters setting out exactly what your options are in, like, words of one syllable. The only way you wouldn't understand if your pension age had changed is if you BURNED ALL THE CORRESPONDENCE UNOPENED
